All distances are round trip and are calculated using Bing Maps. I’m using the street addresses of houses/buildings I pass for calculation (buildings are easy to see on aerial maps) but using landmark name so I’m not posting anyone’s address online. I originally started out with going to the Farm and back. The following week I pushed it a little further. A little further the next week and so on.
Farm: 1.6 MI
Waterfall: 2.2 MI
Dump: 2.6 MI
County Shop: 2.8 MI
I have 3 more spots to add on this route which I haven’t walked to yet. After those 3 spots it will just plain take too much time to complete my walk every day. I cannot be spending 4 hours a day walking as I have work to do and responsibilities at home. After which I’ll mix it up some. I live right near Highland Lake which is a really nice walk on back country roads. The only problems are it’s hilly terrain and there are bears to worry about. By August, I’d like to walk around the lake which is approximately 7 miles. That will be more of a Saturday afternoon leisure walk than walking just for exercise.
