BigDan.us what to do?

Yup, it has again been quite a while since I blogged. Things are happening in my life, I just don’t have much time to jot them down anymore nor do I have the time to write about other topics that I (previously) frequently wrote about. I’ve already given up two blogs; vBulletinAdmin.com and AlmostGeek.com which I may at a later date use again but I gave them up just because I didn’t have the time to promote and make them a success. I launched an other forum for music fans, but haven’t had any time to work on nor promote it.

I have enough trouble keeping up with my DJ Forum which with vBulletin’s constant updates it keeps me pretty busy not to mention my customers that I support; some with hosting some with vBulletin support, others with WordPress, myBB, and/or phpBB. I’ve already gave up two of my most challenging customers, moved them to another service, now they’re somebody else’s headache. I don’t say that to be mean, I just don’t have the time I used to have to constantly hold their hands through every little thing.

All in all this blog makes me very little money, most of what I’ve made through here has been from people emailing me for support, etc. Adsense is useless nowadays, .01 cents per click what a joke other networks require too much effort through affiliate pimping and the likes, not exactly my thing. ;) Asides from that very little comment wise, I mean I do get comments at places where my blog is syndicated other than that very little. I almost want to just park this domain and be done with it.

However, I’ve enjoyed blogging, prior to me deleting the previous blog that was here I had some good comments and met a lot of nice people. If anything it’s made me a little bit better of a writer, I’m still no where near the pros, however I’ve gotten better.

For now, I’m going to leave this site up posting occasionally maybe once I get a job (I got fired from the other one, long story), things settle down, and I get into a routine things will be better.

    Hey Dan,
One way to encourage more comments is to use a Word Press “plug in” that allows Do Follow for the commenter’s links. You will need to moderate the comments to exclude bloggers, but you will attract more visitors (some of them will make relevant comments and won’t spam you).

“Comment Luv” is one of the best programs out there, I recommend that you use it!

I did ‘dofollow’ for a while when I upgraded WordPress I lost the plugin, I have to find another one.
