I finally bought a little space heater for my bedroom. Our apartment has electric baseboards but in my room it’s either all on or all off. No matter how slight you turn the dial heat blasts out until you turn it off. For the most part, I went without heat in my room at night and just turn it on in the morning to warm up the room with the door open it says comfortable in here. At night I shut the door and wake up freezing in the dead of winter. Last year, I got real sick a few times so this year I had to pick up a heater.

My only 3 requirements for the heater were: cheap, it couldn’t suck down a lot of juice, because the building has old electric you cannot even make toast and coffee at the same time here. :-/, and it had to have a thermostat to turn on and off automatically.
I wound up with the Sunbeam Ceramic Flat Panel Heater SCH2101-UM which fits the ticket. It keeps me warm enough at night and I don’t wake up sweating.
The only trouble is it turns off after 2 hours as a safety feature. You cannot win ‘em all but when I twist and turn at night, I turn it on and off to reset the safety timer.
