Since my internet was/has been on the fritz since over the weekend getting my new cable modem yesterday meant that I could get my backlog of work done today but the powers are against me today for what ever reason. I’ve been enjoying chatting up the election and other issues on both Discuss New York and my DJ Forum but I did want to get something done today.
So far, my internet has dropped 3 times. I called TWC, they’re sending a tech out tomorrow. After calling them I checked my splitter and seen the connection to the modem was a little loose and tightened it so far the connection hasn’t dropped. I really hope it wasn’t just a loose connection, I’ll feel like such an idiot when the tech shows up tomorrow. 
The phone has been ringing all day, it just won’t stop.. None of the calls are for me either.
The landlord is here installing a new light in our hallway. Hammering away, at what I don’t know as there’s already a hole and wiring there. We do need it as the current hallway light is on a timer that’s in the basement and the timer is never right so often times the hallway is pitch black in the evening and morning. We have a light we control upstairs but it doesn’t light the landing or second flight of stairs so he’s finally putting in a sensor light. Only 4 years after I told him a sensor light would be a good idea and he wonders why I call him retard to his face. 
Connection dropping + hammering + phone ringing = nothing getting done. I’m going to go clean my bedroom at least I don’t need quiet for that.
